Draxia had reached the bottom of the stairs, and now she hesitated there, gazing at the chained human boy before her. The troll girl was dressed in a dark, navy blue jacket lined with gold trim, complete with an stark white shirt beneath. On her chest she wore a variety of war medals from her battles as a soldier, and her neck bore a ribbon with a medallion engraved with the sign of the aristocracy.
After staring at Kankri for a long moment, she walked over to him, grabbing his chin in one hand, she lifted his face to examine him. She was silent until she turned his head and spotted a particularly large bruise beneath his eye.
“Hm..Your old masters obviously weren’t kind to you..They must have struck hard..to leave a mark like that..”
She locked her piercing golden eyes on his, and smiled, warmth trickling into her expression.
“Well..There won’t be any more of that..I assure you..
It’s awfully hot down here..Did you not get fresh air?…I’ll have to talk with the captain..?
Tell me dear..What is your name?”

Draxia stood tall, lifting her chin so as to command respect from everyone about her. She had her whip strapped firmly to her side, and a hand resting on it, tense and ready. These ports were always dangerous, filled with opportunistic thieves and assassins, all either wanting her money or wanting to make a stand against the slavery she condoned. Either way, she was untouchable. To harm a noble officer of her rank would result in torturous punishment for the offender, and in any case, the massive, muscular troll by her side would deter any would-be trouble.
Still, one could never be too careful, or too well armed.
She approached the freshly ported ship with dignity, a dark spark shin in in her golden eyes. She needed only to show a badge, and an ID tattoo on her grey skin, and the watchmen of the ship backed away, bowing and murmuring a welcome. She walked on deck then, her beastly bodyguard glaring down at all of the crewsmen and slaves who worked at cleaning the deck and unloading the cargo. Each an every one stopped to bow as Draxia passed, and she allowed a faint smile to cross her expression.
It was good to have power.
She met with the captain of the vessel at the door of his keep, after a quick greeting (In which the captain forgot to refer to her as “General”, evoking a growl from her guard) they finally reached the business that she was here to discuss.
“Has my..new man arrived safely?”
Draxia inquired stiffly, no emotion showing in her gaze.
“Yes General, he is below decks, all chained up and ready for transport. He’s not a bulky thing, but he seems like a hard worker. He should do you right mighty good. General. Ma’am.”
Draxia nodded, smiling politely and opening he door to the keep.
“Thank you Captain…My assistant here will pay you what we owe..I think I shall go and get acquainted with my..newest servant..”
And with that, she descended the stairs, marching to the bottom deck of the ship, and the back part of the cargo bay where her “shipment” awaited her.

“Of course really..You look incredible ..But then again..you’re always the most handsome troll out there..in my eyes.” Draxia murmured. She was reaching to put her arms on his shoulders when he…
Draxia was about to respond to his statement, actually even had her mouth opened to do so, when he picked her up and swung her around. Whatever she had been about to say choked off with a happy squeal, and she tightened her grip around his neck, laughing and blushing and hiding her face in his shoulder.
“Aaaah! Tav! hehe okay okay! You got me!”
She wasn’t truly scared though, she knew well that he would never drop her. When he set her down, she didn’t loosen her hold at first, choosing instead to lean back and plant a kiss on his cheek. His comment about his own eyes, as well as his dejected expression, led her take is face, turning his head back toward hers gently and smiling at him.
“Of course..I’m going to get looks Tav…I mean, I’m going to be with..the most amazing, wonderful troll…on Earth or Alternia…I figure that..will attract attention..”
She kissed his nose them, with a warm purr building in her chest.
” I am not ashamed of your eyes..They are misty..and smokey..and bright…I love them..And though you look good with dye in..I also love your snowy hair..and your long tail..I love you Tav..everything about you..Especially the little scars and traits..that make you unique..”

Draxia settled into position, grinning at the familiar feel of the handlebars. She was free on her bike, proud and fearless. And, unfortunately for Kankri, more than a little reckless.
“Alright..I can get us to the main road in that direction..but when we get…
Draxia had to yell to be heard over the wind that was screaming past them as they rode. She turned her head back, keeping her eyes on the road, so that the breath wouldn’t be sucked out of her.
“Okay bro..I can get us there easy!..I think I’ve passed your place before..there’s a very distinct place..not to far off from here..Just keep holding on!..It may be a bit..of a bumpy ride..I think it’s a good day..for a little off-road!”
And with that little warning, she turned, expertly weaving between two cars in the other lane. The pair of angry drivers honked at her, but she was already past. having cleared the gap without so much as brushing either vehicle. Shooting off the side of the road, she tore through a parking lot before she twisted onto a back route, a tiny little street that ran along behind several apartment buildings and other structures. With a exhilarated laugh, the girl sped down the little row before hitting a small pile of gravel, set there by construction workers who were laying out a new building nearby. The cycle went airborne, jumping only a couple feet off of the ground and landing with ease.
“Woo-hoo! Alright! “
The next corner was the right one, and so Draxia spun into the dark alleyway, sputtering to stop and kicking out the stand in front of the door with the cancer flag above.
“How was that..Kankri?”
Draxia turned her gaze away from Michael, seeming to want to forget his presence altogether. His words left dread settling like a cold stone in the pit of her stomach. Her deep mistrust of the boy, as well as the bizzare emotions she could feel from both of them, it all had such a strange solemn quality that she found unnerving. She was careful to try and downplay her fear though, Michael didn’t need any more ammo to torment her with, so she dropped her voice to a calm, collected murmur, turning her head as if to speak solely to Rose, though the question was directed toward the both of them.
“Where is it..that they are guiding you..all the way out in this part..of the Furthest Ring?”
She listened as her moirail spoke of their purpose, dark golden eyes widening slightly in response.
“I agree that they must be taught to leave mortals be..But do you intend to fight them?..They are more powerful..than my masters..That’s a force to be reckoned with..though I fully intend to stand alongside you…”
